Well i was completely wrong about that. Turns out that isn't even where my light switch is located.

I'm not sure what year they changed? My 97 had the switch on the dash their talking about that ran the foglamps but my 03 has them on the headlamp stalk.

Big Sarge Here is a pic of the lead I added

Big Sarge Fuse #3 behind the glove box for my 98. I recently added mine as it also did not come factory. As for the wiring..... All the wiring inside was there to include the two relays behind the glove box. The power wire for the fog lights is a light blue wire. On the left side of the engine compartment look at the wiring harness that has a plug break in it right by the cruis control module (or by the second battery tray) if you don't have CC. On my haress the blue wire went in but did not have the wire on the other side of the connector to feed the lights. I opened the back side of the harness where the wire was missing and took out the white plastic plug, then I used a wire with the correct size terminal from a headlight socket I bought at advance auto (like $4) I think. once that lead is in just check for power and then continue to reun a wire from there. Hope that helps.

gbendezu I connected fog lights to my 99. Same thing. Those connectors ARE NOT for fog lights. You will have to run your own cables

TexasTJ3016 My factory FOG light switch goes there. So my guess is there is a fuse in the glove box marked fog lights.

98 tj sport My 98 has that same connector I was wondering what it went to as well, I thought it might be factory wiring for fogs but I don't see any kinda connector under the fenders so I'm not sure hopefully someone who knows will post up so we will know
