Montes03d Hahaha yea i know what ever i do to that piece no way in hell its going to be the same. I ordered a new one n it came in today but i wanna say this one has the bearing already all i have to do is place the seal in

OverkillYJ WOW. HA HA HA. You did a number on that. You cannot fix that. No matter what you do I doubt you will get it as good as the original cast piece. Just pay for the shipping from 2xs.

Montes03d Ok so Im working on good ol jeep took the rear housing off. Now im wondering can i jbweld these pieces together or glue them?? Hahahaha just kidding i got a new one but this is basically what i got when i took it off.

2xs You know, I think I have one of those cone units sitting around in my Garage from when I did my SYE.

bigtoysforbigboys Depends on how bad its leaking ....granted it will get worse with time but if its a small leak id just keep an eye on it and drive it

bigtoysforbigboys Looks like the output shaft seal is leaking ....clean it off with brake cleaner and check it again

Montes03d Took another good look at it and its def the cone shaped part (rear housing extension) looked all around the only crack i found and were its leaking from

2xs you can replace that part, or you can swap it out for a SYE and longer drive-shaft if you are lifted.

You should probably remove your Tcase and clean it off in case more issues are present, that cone normally doesnt break unless your drive-shaft has BAD angles, so a SYE is probably your best route.

Montes03d Ok guys and gals my u joint went the other day (fixed now) but I noticed red fluid leaking fluid leaking from the transfercase I determined were its leaking from and its cracked right above the bottom bolt my question is would I need to replace the whole transfer case? or is the cone shaped part replaceble its self? Is it safe to be driving it also with the fluid leaking out?? Thanks in advance
