Basically what I'd recommend is going to savvy offroad's website and have a field day! Nah, I'd look into Undercover fab, Savvy, Rokmen etc. and see which one fits your needs. I personally went with savvy, but the brand is really up to you. Do you want steel, aluminum, options between the two?... decide how many extra parts each will require (body lift, sye/cv driveshaft, mml, adjustable control arms)... figure out your price range and pick and choose what you can afford and handle. If you want something out of your price range, save a little longer if possible definitely found that out already. The information is out there as far as protecting your rig just explore...

|IslandTJ||I would also seriously look at rocker panel skids, I am amazed at how much I use mine as a pivot point for the Jeep.|

Steering box skid is cheap considering what will happen if you break the pump.
My belly pan came with my LA lift....beefy 3/8 steel...I need an oil pan skid already dented it. Probly lucky as hell I didn't puncture it.
As to Brand....just compare what size material they use to make it. Most use the same size material. Stay away from those that use thinner.

|lindel||I'd start at the gas tank myself. Especially if you're just beginning to mod the vehicle. Most gas tank skids will give you an inch or so more clearance, plus extra protection when it's needed, given the current price of gas!|

|techflork||Get an undercover Fab engine skid, it's beefy and has saved my oil pan and probably the exhaust pipe a number of times. Then the steering box skid, even if you don't need it, it's only 50 bucks. Tummy tuck is my last mod with skids, but that will only happen once I get a lift.|

|PStov98TJ||Well going with a TT skid would be a good start. More ground clearance and therefore more protection. But you'll need an sye/cv with it.|

|tallzdatank||I'd go with oil pan and steering box skids as well as a fuel tank plate. those are about all I would think most people really could ever need.|

I want to put full skids on my TJ but im not sure where to start. Anyone have any recomendations. Also I have been looking at the genright and poison spider aluminum fender flares. Which ones do you have or would you go with and why?
