4Jeepn 5800 for a 4cyl seems very high to me, but I have noticed yj prices have been going higher and in several cases are higher than the first few years of TJ's. Price will of course vary on area.. but to me If I could afford 5800, i would look for a 6cyl.

ChicoJeepy If you could possibly get some pics. Would be amazing. Personally I would say $3500 - $4000 depending on how much rust there is and if it is in running condition. Soft top wouldn't be more the $300 imo. 71K miles is good tho but wonder if it broke down and it just sat?

RIDinoT I don't have my mind set on either a 4 or a 6 cyl.
I just would like to have a jeep again.
Just for running around town or short highway trips.
No off- roading. Something to play with and trick out.

kmanator 1990 jeep from New England saltbelt...Look at the frame very close..poke at it with a screw driver on the rear section.$5800.00 sounds high unless it's ultra clean.

ChicoJeepy I bought a similar Jeep last month. 1993 Wrangler 4 cylinder 5 speed for $3100. Has title, smogs, around 20-25 MPG. Really nice running rig. Need to post up more pics of it xD But I agree with BCDonny, it is over priced by at least $1500. 71K tho that must not have much wear at all but add up what you would do in the future with it and see if you won't be digging in your pocket for something that was worth less to begin with.

BCDonny mileage is low that's some times a good thing. What would you wanting to do to it, you might find the 4 banger not enough for you. I think that it is a little over priced that's my 2 cents

jcbrindle I've noticed that once they get down to around the 5K mark, thats about all the depreciation they do. Unless of course its a basket case.

Looking at a '90 YJ

I briefly looked at a 1990 YJ the other day.
No rot, some surface rust underneath. 71K miles.
5 speed 4 cylinder.
Soft top has some rips and it has nothing else
for extras. Stock rims.
They're asking $5800. It seems too much for
a vehicle that will be just bones for me to fatten up

Any input would be appreciated.
