SeVeReDiStOrTiOn I would've pressed charges and then have him pay for damages. Being drunk isn't an excuse to steal someones vehicle. Police reports are great in civil court too.

No one can find the door handles in mine in the dark, nothing to worry about.

speedyrev I'd take it to the best body shop in town and I would encourage him to pay the bill.

Wattapunk It looks like alot more damage than just needing a new HT and hood. Add windshield and full door to the list. Just hope everything bolts on perfectly and you get reimbursed.

Ok that sucks, but if your car got damaged, why are you showing us pictures of a damaged Jeep?

TJDave When I was in school, one of our friends always passed out at parties. It became a real PITA, getting him together and taking him home.

We never stole his rig, but we shaved off one of his eyebrows. He never passed out at a party again after weeks of "brow checks" and hilarity.

Your lesson was harder learned I think.

I hope you get your Jeep fixed, and never get an eyebrow shaved off!

CarolinaBound In for drinking jokes. On a more serious note make sure your tub or any other sheet metal isn't tweaked. Hard to see in my head how the hood and side of the hardtop are dinged up but fenders and whatnot be ok

jeepjake711 You made a better choice then driving it home. Unfortunately someone else made bad choice by taking it for a joy ride.

sparkyjeep i'll take your old hardtop.... just sayin...

CaptainMorgann Yea I passed out. I messed up. Trust me I'm pissed but that's not gonna get you anywhere if you need that person to pay you. Once it's fixed and everything's fine trust me things will be made even.

X2. Most bonfires I attended usually ended up with people passing out, or being awoken by the parents of lady friends I took to the bonfires in the early am.

It's Karma's way of saying....it's not a car...it's a Jeep!!!

That sucks, but at least it's getting fixed by the person
