66fordman Finished my square to round headlamp mod today.
Then wife called and said tapping the amp gauge didn't do anything.(linda b from previous post) YJ is dead at train station. Brought a jump box and got her started, but alt not charging. Found broken terminal on side of unit. Changed alternator, and all is well with the world(for now)

hahaha, my fuel gauge only works correctly up until it gets to a half tank after that I have to tap it so it will bounce down and show me the fuel level before going back to a half tank

LindaB Also replaced the mounting bracket for the pass side on my soft top thanks to my husband's score at a pick 'n pull.

Nice combo.. I still have to remove all my lights, high lift, seats, roll cage, etc and start the prep work for mine. I've got the 2 gallon monstaliner kit waiting in the garage. I'm doing black inside and out and I've got a set of bright orange beadlocks to go on it when I'm done turning the jeep black. I'm really dreading prepping the inside of the tub. The PO did a DIY bedliner that is absolutely horrible so I have to get all of it out first..

Locruid Got my horn working. The plastic piece on the Cam Cancel was broke and the spring and metal "piston" was missing.

Funny story though. Went to a Wrecking Yard to find another out of a Cherokee. Took my Steering Wheel puller but forgot a wrench and philips. So anyways found a Cherokee with one in it and asked my buddy who was with me if he had a philips and crescent wrench. He did in his car (we did bring his). So while he ran back to get them I spotted a Durango and went through it for anything I could use on the wife's truck. Right next to it was another Cherokee with the Piece I needed sitting on the dash LOL. Someone had removed the steering wheel to get the Turn Signal switch. Met my buddy halfway back and he asked how I got it off..

I replied "I'm Batman"

Cricketboy New rear passenger wheel bearing, seal, pumpkin lube, font rotors, and pads.

Also received the wrong door latch so zip ties and rods for now until the correct side arrives. Ugh. Lower one locks and the upper one opens the door.

Could you post up a close up of your mirrors? I've been looking for something other than the stock and the offset replacement ones. This is pretty much exactly the look I'm going for.

What kind of inspections does it have to pass? Hear in Tennessee where I live it doesn't have to go through any kind of inspection

Klug Ok it didnt happen today but over the last two weekends my brother in law and I have installed A Zone lift kit, four new shocks, new (to me) tires and wheels 33x12.5, a TC drop, new steering dampener, a receiver hitch, rock sliders, and replaced all of my rear brake lines. We have had two real marathon sessions but it has all been worth it.

BunnyGN Spent a family day in the garage, getting the Jeep ready for its maiden voyage next weekend! Best fix of the day: shift indicator pulled from a junkyard and installed, now I can see what gear I'm in! Best new addition: stereo, now the Jeep has some tunes!
