Jmhu228 Yes, right after I shift gears or around 2100-2200 rpm I experience the issue. And like you said, same days are worse than others.

wwch99tj I've been chasing this problem for nearly three years,I can't figure it out. Some days are worse than others, the only thing in the ignition system I haven't replaced is the coil... Mine seems to hesitate slightly worse after a long highway drive, so I'm thinking it's a heat sink issues with something?...
Does your do this around 2200 rpm?

Engine Issues ~ Help!

I drive a 99 TJ, 4 cylinder. About a month ago I started to experience a "hesitation" in the engine while accelerating. I thought it was a bad batch of gas. When getting home from college about two weeks ago, the problem got worse. It sounds as though the engine is missing. When accelerating, it feels like a loss in power, sometimes a bit jerky. I took it in to check fault codes and nothing showed up. I've done a tune up two years ago, and checked the rotor and wires around Easter; they were fine. I just replaced the TPC this winter so I highly doubt it's that. This problem doesn't stop me from getting places, but it makes me feel extremely nervous, especially since I drive 20 miles on the highway to and from work each day.

Had anyone else had this issue? Any thoughts as to what it might be or solutions?

Thanks in advance.
