|93civEJ1||alright...so I have someone that is maybe wanting to come next weekend from about 5 hrs away and maybe pick up my car. Ive been looking around...and think I want to do a 4bt swap into something. would a CJ or a TJ be best for this?|

heh ... I quite frequently visit most supra sites and have been into the car scene for awhile. I agree though, you do have a very very clean supra. Would be a shame to get rid of such a clean car man.
I understand its "built to withstand 1000hp", but what do you have it making? The bottom end in the gte is built factory to withstand that. Its all the supporting mods that limit it

BTW...its no where near stock...and built to handle 1000 hp easily.
It doesnt make that due to being on a street sized turbo for quick spool up times.

Then you dont get on supraforums if EVER.
There is a niche for this vehicle...built ones go all the time for 50k depending on whats done.
The board even says 30k is priced right for the build.

I wish....JKU's are still pretty pricey it seems.
With a TJ (what I am looking at...you can find some of them fairly cheap)

|NFGZ||Ehhh that supra is going to need to be in beyond great condition to fetch 30k.... MK4 supras with the 2jz gte motor typically fetch around 15k-20k. 15k being the low end, 20k being the car is in really good condition end. Regardless, thats still a ton of money for a 1994 vehicle lol|

|93civEJ1||After looking. I almost like the TJ over the CJ.|

|93civEJ1||Why a cj? My fave body style from what I have seen are the JK. Especially the 4 door.|

Obviously it's all personal preference, and being that this is a Wrangler forum, the audience may tend to be biased.
Take me for example.....I'd sell the Supra in a heartbeat.

|derf||I have at least 3 projects right now. You could work on mine for me.|

What to do...want another project
So, my wife and I picked up a brand new 13 JKUR (both our first ever jeep) to replace her Mazda 3 car. I told her if we get one we are going to go rubicon route, plus this one has all the stuff she liked so we were both happy.
Now, I currently have a 09 Tacoma 4 door on 6" lift with 37's. It is my daily when we arent driving around the new Rubicon.
I also own a 1994 Toyota Supra that is my play toy that I fully built (bored with larger pistons, rods, head, auto to manual swap, single, fuel, etc). Its easily built to handle 1000hp. I havent tuned it but it drives and pulls great for just on a home tune. I never drive it though. It just sits in the garage and collects dust and maybe sees a sunny day every now and then..Not often.
I am wanting something else to work on.
I could easily sell my supra for 30k. This would give me the option of buying something super cheap to drive around when I need and play with the tacoma.
Or I could leave the tacoma like it is and pick up maybe another older JK to build or something. Thoughts?
I dont think the wife really wants me touching the new JK we picked up this weekend cause its brand spanking new. So it might be a bit.
I could also just keep the supra like is and work on getting it better...but lately I just dont have any desire to do the whole go fast car thing anymore.
