docbott Also, I use some wide Velcro straps to contain the soft top so that nothing gets pinched in the hard top. One on each side of the top and one in the middle when it is down.

jp2611 Easy answer yes it will fit .......they come from the factory that way...however they caution that "damage may occur if ST is not removed.....IDK what type of damage they are referring to but that is my caution for you.

Now I also understand that most likely it is the "Lawyers" trying to keep from getting in a bind over damaged tops but the easy way to ship them is folded down in side the Jeep with HT on as well.

Do your best to avoid putting any extra weight on the frame so that it doesn't get "tweaked".

Fold your rear seat up so you have plety of room to see what you are doing....watch the install videos and think backwards as far as the ST frame installation.

IMO (fwiw) your top should be fine just be cautious what you are doing.

Rob66 It shouldn't be a problem. When I got mine from the dealer, the freedom hard top was on and the soft top was down, and fastened in the back, like it would be if you put the soft top down all the way with the windows out. Like the other person said, just make sure the plastic door pieces are removed that you need when the soft top is in use, and you will be able to do put the soft top inside the hard top.

docbott You should be able to fit the hardtop on if you lower the soft top and remove the soft top frame from around the doors. I have had both on at the same time without any issues.

Moving, need to fit soft top inside hard top

Hi! New to the forum with a question that hopefully has a very easy solution. I have a 2007 wrangler sahara (2 door) that currently has the freedom hard top on it. I also own a factory model soft top. I am moving from Colorado to Tennessee and need to find a way to fit the soft top inside the already attached hard top so that I can drive both down there. Is there a way to disconnect the soft top bars and put the soft top in the trunk? I apologize for what might be a very silly question. I need to get this done prior to Sunday and completely understand if a car expert needs to get involved, I just need to know if this can be done.

Thanks in advance for your help!
