It looks good on the Cream paint, but the paint isn't cream in the tape shots...

|14RubiconX||I finally took the rear-view mirror apart to change the light color. I was going to change the leds out for red ones but as you can see in the picture the chrome plastic piece is actually sort of riveted to the circuit board. Basically they just melted the plastic piece on the other side to hold it down. It covers the led so I couldn't desolder it and replace it. I went out on ebay and purchased translucent red plastic that has adhesive on one side and as you can see in the photos it turned out really nice.|

And from the picture you look like you are living in a climate mostly devoid of snow (sadness).
They work great reducing ice and moke on the handle and freezing the keyhole =D.

Today was an "easy" day of mods.
I added some LED cargo light to the back and also some LED foot well lights. I must be getting old...it seems I need lots of light to be able to see! LOL!
I started out with one of those LED light strips you can find at AutoZone in the ricer aisle.
If you look close, you can see that you can cut these and make smaller strips (3 LED's long) which is what I did and is why I selected them.
For the cargo light, I took three of the small sections, wired them together and stuck them to the back of my external speaker for my CB (which is mounted to the soundbar) and just tapped them into the dome light. A side benefit - the angle of the light can be adjusted. They look blue, but are very white.
This is in a dark garage -
Here it is without the lights on, of course, the garage door being open kinda screwed up the pic, but you get the idea (I used a Sharpie to black out all of the white logo's on the LED strips) -
After that, I used the remains (two 9 LED sections) and tapped them into the existing foot well lights. What was Jeep thinking when they put those lights in there? They're useless! This is much better, at least for me -
Tomorrow I've got some basic PM to do and I think I'm going to upgrade my Superchips FlashCal to a FlashPaq and load the 87 octane tune. It's getting good reviews from the guys in Orlando Jeep Club and if it gives me any trouble, Superchips is about 30 minutes from the house. I can go pound on their door. I guess being unemployed has its advantages...

Jeep JK Unlimited JKU 4 Door Rear Seat Recline Spacers | eBay
I'm pretty sure I am going to remove the bottom brackets. I feel like I am sitting on the edge of an already small bottom seat. It was extremely easy to install and they are not kidding around when they say use a breaker bar. I did not have one and was regretting it. Whoever rides in the back will thank you. The only real drawback I see to this mod is if you want to install a rear basket you may have to make some adjustments for the basket mounting brackets.
