Thanks! The only difference between people who own Jeeps with chrome and people who own Jeeps without chrome, is people with chrome on their Jeeps don't care if others don't have chrome.

(for the record, I can get mud and dirt on my chrome just as much as a Jeep without. I just spend more time cleaning it after the ride. Season opener trail run is May 3rd!! Looking forward to it.)

SirRyan Replaced all interior lights with red LED's...and did the footwells also!

Its not that easy. There is so much force in that line. It will be back on you in a blink of an eye. Not a winch but I was pulling trees over with my John Deere 160 trackhoe with #10000 rated rope and it snap not a fun day. Busted the front windows out of the cab luckily I had my head turned and jumped over to the side! Same rules apply to a winch

Stepping over a winch line? No no no.... One never knows when it can/will snap! Safety first in my book. It's like not wearing seat belts. You never know until it's too late. If I had steel line I would only run my winch with a line blanket over it. At least gloves were being used.

There is a reason why there is a long cord on your remote winch control. It is to keep you away from the winch in case the wire snaps and takes off a part of your anatomy in the process. Maybe you have rope, but I personally would not be putting my head anywhere near a winch line under load.

This will vary slightly depending on the winch but pulling specs from my warn vr10000: pulling a 4000lb load (roughly a stock unlimited) pulls ~270amps. The stock alternator ouputs 160amps. Keeping your rpms up helps but doesnt completely counteract a winch

I got that. Thats why they advise you run the vehicle while winching. And running amps are draw less than repeated starting. I plan on getting a badlands winch and using it to its max.

Winches pull a crap ton of amps. If you're not careful you can kill your battery. Not saying that you couldn't go the full 90 sec but you can only run a winch a couple minutes straight before draining a charged car battery

I wonder why people dont use winchs continuously. They are rated for a full load pull for 90 seconds. Why not use it as its intended? Im a firm believer of if you dont use it you lose it. Hell thats what warranties are for.
