RATyson I installed my new patented "Snakescreen" snake depositor system. It is used to deposit snakes along the trail to ward off any would-be assailants.

Installed and field tested:

Then I installed some new mud. It goes well with the anvil and black I think.

unboundmo Slowly but Surely... I've been working the late shift 12-9s so finishing this skid plate is taking a little longer that I wanted... Plus the trigger on my "Chicago electric" 14" cut off wheel went out on me...

Mounts perfect to the frame portion in the area of the motor mounts... and then down to the cross member where the tranny mount is... No cutting on the frame and using existing holes for mounting... I have a '12 JKU... I just need to make gussets for the "up" arms... Thinking just to fine tune shape a 1"solid angle iron to the underside and welding it... I have to think weight now.. This this is almost 20lbs now.... 3/16" steel with some 1/4" here and there..

Oh... When mounted and with my lift, I clear 19" from the ground to the pan

How awesome of an adventure... Looks like a stop I need to take some day.. Cool pics

Love the kit, just installed it over the long weekend...let your wife see it, it looks very innocent and small enough for her not to freak out over ! At least mine did not, until she saw my axles on the floor and springs sitting next to it !! Have fun !

1quick1 I also did some Colorado touring this weekend in the Jeep. Denver to Glenwood Springs to Apsen to Leadville via Independence Pass to Buena Vista and back home.

Apsen - drinking an IPA or 3.

One lane both directions on Independence Pass

Hiked Hanging Lake

Average after around 500 miles a good chunk over 10k feet. 3.73 gears, auto, and 85 octane.

I ordered the 14" SS black powder coated one earlier this week. I was ok with the 13" flexible one, but on our jeep 3-day trip, found driving @ 70 MPH with 95*+ it curved the antenna straight back at an even arch, lol. Over night it straighten right back.... Didn't like this, that's why the SS one is "on the way"! Em...
I definitely lost more reception that that. I live in a pretty good size town with lots of stations and when I scan I pick up no more than 2 stations.

I like the red! looks good! and it's plastidip so if you ever get tired of it you can simply peel it off. good contrast. maybe i'll try some colored plastidip accents on my black rig.

mickey5150 I finished putting my new aev bumper on! It wasn't easy (for me) but I love the new look. Next year I'm going to add a lift, bigger tires, and regear. But for now I'm very happy

For safety reasons is the reason u use the factor 55. It takes a D ring to secure the cable to whatever ur pulling. An open hook can slip off.
