Vaccume hose

I have a missing vaccume hose on my 2006 It was located on the driverside of the engine just below the master cylinder any ideas as to where it goes or what it controls? When I put my finger over the fitting the engine starts to die. also my blower control only allows air from the defroster any ideas? thanks in advance
