joe buell I guess I missed all the action ? I had a friend call and his clutch went out on his Harley he was on the side of the road so I had to go and try to help him was not able to get him running so I had to go home and get my bike trailer and get him back to the Island He ended up having to take it to Tampa to get it fixed. I did not mean to run out on you guys but when a friend calls and needs help well you got to go had a good time and look forward to the 2nd if not sooner ???????

JKU SRQ I think he got it quietly taken care of himself. Maybe last Sunday had something against black TJ's? Lemme know if you need a hand with the steering column... as of now I have no plans so far for the weekend.

Back to tabber's topic... I'd likely be game for Palmetto, H-Pit or ???

Maybe it's a good thing that I just bought a YJ... spare Fluffy from some future potential carnage.
I saw him on the culvert and saw the wheel pushed up into the flare but I didn't know that he actually unseated the spring. I wish I'd known, I'd stayed around and helped get them back on the road.

horsedad58 Now, now...I didn't "blame" anybody but myself.. I'm the nutcase teaching his 16 yr old daughter how to do doughnuts in the dirt.... (besides it was fun!!!) The steering column's been headed south for a while... Sunday just pushed it over the edge.

The look on my daughter's face was priceless. As we pulled out on the pavement she looked at me and said "I think we broke something" and looked at the steering wheel 15 degrees off center as we drove up 301.

Besides if you're not driving a Jeep you're fixing a Jeep.

Got a new column in the back of my pickup, fresh from a corpse jeep liberty (same column). So my weekend will be spent wrenching... Pull the old, mix parts to make one good column and re-install. I'll be thinking of you guys as I have my head down under the dash.

Have fun!
