webejeepinms If your radiator is the original and is dirty and stopped up I would replace it. I did the flush/cleaning process, filled with antifreeze and it started leaking instantly. My friend did the same on his. Radiator and thermostat $150.00 range.

New jeepers! 99 sahara. Radiator??!

We bought our first jeep last week (99 sahara very clean with 105,000 miles) and have driven on it highway and town miles for a week. Then today it suddenly overheated (check gauge) light on and temp gauge spiked into the red. It immediately went back down... Then did it again right when I was pulling into driveway. We popped the hood and steam coming from radiator cap. Also noticed the bottle attached to radiator was a little low on fluid and also had a makeshift cover (plastic wrap stuff attached for cover).

I made another post about this earlier on another area of site. Any advice? Or idea of what we will have to replace with the radiator? $? Thanks!!
