|DFW6ER||I've always thought it strange that states mandate seatbelt use yet many don't mandate helmet use for motocyclists.|

Got ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt too. Figured I might as well just follow the rules and not have to deal with the nuisance.

Took, the doors off, legally this time!!
Hey guys, just wanted to share some pics of the jeep doorless and the new mirrors I made. I took the jeep out doorless a couple times last year but never on main roads because the grand old state of Maryland (sarcasm) will ticket you for anything and everything in a heartbeat.
So I was determined to get the doors off for real this year! Visited the Harley shop towards Baltimore but none of the mirrors really did it for me. Most had the Harley logo on them, plus they were VERY expensive. Decided to make my own mirrors. The only reason I was hesitant to do this was because I heard the vibration can be quite bad.
Went up to the local Pep Boys and Home Depot and got the parts I needed. Here's the write-up I used: http://www.4x4xplor.com/doorless-mirror.html
Super easy and took about 20 min, if that. Took it out cruising in the 85 degree weather yesterday and it was great! Yes, there was some vibration at speeds over 60 mph, but hey, we jeepers aren't known for our speed anyway The vibration really wasn't any issue though.
Anyway, it was a fun little project that adds to the fun of owning a jeep!
