|chilly||Got stuck. Being stupid (of course), tried to put a front wheel up on a large drift wood log while wheeling on the beach, but mis-judged the wheel placement, came off the log, and found myself high-centered on the front diff. Fortunately a passerby pulled me off with a chuckle, and no damage but my ego ( and I deserved that much!) Lol|

Eagle Eye Type LED Rock Lights
I wanted to improve lighting under the Jeep for off roading at night. For the front I installed two small but bright 3 watt Eagle Eye type LED lights inside front fender flares. Theses light were less than $5 a pair shipped from Ebay. They are waterproof and built to hold up to exterior locations.
Here is the LED light above the front tire mounted at the bottom of the fender. I drilled a small hole, and attached the light with a wire tie.
For lights under the center of the Jeep I mounted four more of the same lights on the frame, two on each side. That makes a total of six lights. Since the 6 lights together only draw less than 2 amps, I put them all on one circuit.
Here is how I mounted one light on frame. It's tucked up just behind the front tire. The frame already has a small opening and I took a step drill to enlarge that opening enough to pass the stem of the LED light through. This location is good as it keeps the light up high and fairly well protected from bushes, rocks, squirrels or whatever else gets ran over.
Here is the LED light mounted on the frame just in front of rear tire. Again passed the stem bolt of the light through the enlarged opening in the frame.
I ran wire enclosed in a loom from the lights and connected to the door switch circuit inside the cab using a relay. This allows the LED lights to come on when the door opens. I also added a rocker switch to be able to manually control the lights. The rocker switch for the lights is mounted on the passenger air bag switch plate. This plate can be pried up with a small screwdriver. I installed the rocker switch near the bottom of the plate. This should be a three position switch so the lights can be on/off/auto with auto being on the door switch circuit.
And here is how the lights look at night in the snow.
The eagle eye type LED lights also come in 6, 9, and 10 watt versions. I've order a couple 9 watt lights and will install them under the rear bumper when they come in. I'm expecting them to be a lot brighter.
I have had these lights on for a couple months and they survived hunting season. I have not had any problems going through brush, snow, gravel roads, or water. The do get dirty though and need to be wiped off after a real mudd'in.

I spent some time with a welder/fabricator friend of mine planning a few projects hes helping me with.
1)Fix/remove small rust spot in floor pan.
2)Fix rust around body mounts on drivers side
