jeremyx28 I think I look pretty even/flat right now. I would love to cut the body lift in half if its possible.

jeremyx28 I can buy a full set, front and rear 1" boomerangs for a little over 100 bucks. I have no problem dropping that if I'm better off going that route. I need to replace the bushings anyway, so why not. I like the look of the boomerangs, I just want to make sure I'm not gonna regret the purchase and hate the ride or whatever. I wish I could find a 5/8 front set to match these rear ones off of cl due to the fact that I'm not really looking to go higher on my lift. I just put a brand new set of 31's on and I don't want my jeep to look rediculously high. Basically, I'm happy with my tire size and height ATM and don't want to say "don't those tires look too small under there?". If I go with 1" shackles can I cut the body lift mounts all in half and equal it out? I bought the jeep w/ the body lift already installed. They look like I could cut them, but will I lose any structural integrity?

jeremyx28 I'm looking at it this way, if I'm gonna go through the trouble of changing bushings, I might as well upgrade from the factory part. I hear good things and bad things about boomerang shackles and I would like some updated opinions. Honestly, I think the boomerangs look pretty mean as well lol.

Scott-CJ8 Changing the shackles won't give you a noticeable difference in flex or articulation. But replacing the bushings will definitely improve your ride. As far as length of shackles go... depends on how your Jeep sits now. Putting 5/8" on rear and then going with 1" on front, there's only a difference of 3/8" ... does the front sit lower now? It could adjust/level-out the Jeep. If it sits good now, I'd wait and get a whole set that matches.

boomerang shackles

So I have a 95 2.5l w/ 2.5 suspension and 2" body lift. I have the traction bars removed and properly disposed of and disconnects for the sway bar. A guy has a brand new set of 5/8 rough country rear shackles on craigslist in my area cheap. Currently I have stock shackles with what looks like dry rotted bushings. If/should I buy these, am I gonna be OK? I'm not really trying to lift my jeep more then it is but would love some more flex/articulation. Also.....I can't seem to find a matching set of 5/8 rc shackles for the front.....only 1" lift boomerangs.....what size front shackles should I buy?
