And yes you can go with 16" aftermarkets. Generally you want 4.75" of back spacing or less

|Brandon03||How would 2" spacers and the 34" tires affect my suspenion and ride? Also with 17" stock rims could I downsize to a 16" aftermarkert wheel to get less backspacing, would that help?|

Bigger, heavier tires will make your suspension work a bit harder dealing with the extra mass. But, the taller sidewalls of a bigger tire will soak up some of the bumps... if you don't inflate them like balloons.
It won't affect your suspension in the way that a lift kit or spacers would...

Also, there's really nothing magic about the stock ride. What makes a ride "better" is subjective, but in general you should expect a quality lift kit that replaces the stock coil springs paired with a nice set of shocks would improve the ride.

will 34" tires work on factory suspension
I have a 2012 4dr unlimited sport and would like to know if putting LT305/17 (34") tires on stock suspension would hurt my factory ride or what changes I might need to make. I plan on putting after market wheels on as well, the ones I plan on getting have 4.75" backspacing?
