|BLK00TJ||Around my parts, a regear is runs about $700 an axle. If you have any inclination of ever going to a bigger tire, now is the time to regear so you only have to pay once for the same work. Personally, LSD isn't worth it and I'd rather have a selectable locker that really keeps both wheels spinning when you need them.|

1997 TJ , thinking about a LSD
Pretty much have read up on enough on the forums to determine a LSD is probably best choice for me if I keep my current TJ. Its a daily driver and I get it dirty in some mud about once every two months. No rock crawler in my future.
I am running BFG 32x 11.50 on a 2 RE lift with the mono-tube shocks. It seems that most people like the Detriot True Trac. I want to do it on my rear only.
I have the TJ stock option with the Dana 44 rear that came with the trac lock which is no longer working. The 97 model had the 3.55 ratio. I only see the part listed as 3.73 ratio and down.
So maybe a stupid question, but does "And Down" mean that is what i need?
It would be nice to hear from anyone running this setup on a 97 TJ. And also what a qualified shop should charge to install it? I've done all my mods and repairs, but this is above my qualifications.
