indirocz28 If you are going to stay with a D30 then upgrade to TJ or cherokee shafts because they have bigger U joints. Also the front DS is stronger on cherokees an TJ's than in a YJ.

However, I have to agree with Chris and just go to 44's or something that wont go BANG.

Norcal_Chris I wouldnt buy the hub kit or an arb or anything like that for a dana 30. Just step up to a d44 that already has hubs and the r&p arnt going to explode.

4Jeepn Pc 1alxe runs 50 bucks at a junk yard just a get a TJ long side shaft.. as for hubs, really not worth it. I would rather put that money to wards a arb air locker in the front. then snow driving is a non issue.

also you need an new inner seal at the diff for the 1pc conversion 10 bucks as i recall, but you have to remove the carrier.

4Jeepn have a aussie currently.. only issue you may run into is if you have to drive it on snow covered roads in 4wd, as in on the way to work... the front will fight for traction left and right and can make steering much harder..

Yeahbro I run an aussie with the stock two piece shaft. So far it has held up great. Disconnects when your in 2wd so you can't even tell the locker is there.

YJ fanatic I run an Aussie locker in mine with no problems. Invisible on the road and there when you need it off road.

Norcal_Chris Spartan and one piece driver shaft.

No issues at all on road
Slightly noticeable in 2wd in snow.
Sometimes would pop if i made a hard slow right like into a parking space.

Not a big deal AT ALL.

Bangert Yes but make sure u get a controllable locker like arb or eaton.... Detroit might be a little bit sketchy up frint

Fully locked dana 30?

Has anyone ever fully locked up their dana 30 front and had problems I drive it in town and off road a lot just wondering if its a problem or not thanks for your suggestions
