Yaksmilkk Hey mate I recently had my brake rotors machined and fitted RDA extreme pads. Just so you know they take a lot longer to bed in and also create a lot of brake dust. Just to let you know if that's the path you are going down. Also don't be afraid to source the parts yourself and install yourself. It's a pretty straight forward job and will save you money in labour. If you need and tips just message me. Good luck.

Furkew Hi John.

Jump onto the ausjeepoffroad forum and the local SA jeepers will be able to point you in the right direction for parts for the TJ.

Cheers.

JohnOla sooo...

this is what i've found so far, as a quote that i got via email:

1. STD replacement rotors $50.00+ Gst each
Or
2. Slotted replacement rotors $200.00+ Gst Pair
I have attached a image of the slotted range these are RDA’s new designed rotor which have been heat treated also finished in a gunmetal grey coating that prevents rust/corrosion were pad doesn’t come in contact with rotor also it has slots and dimples . Having both slotted & dimpled rotors fitted to your vehicle will help with removing heat also gases caused when braking.

When it comes to brake pads I have RDA’s Extreme brake pads available which have been very popular with jeep wrangler clubs as they are a dense semi metallic compound pad with a temp rating of 0-500 deg you will find you have a much better pedal feel also stopping performance with these pads compared to most pads on the market for the wrangler.

Front pads $45.00+ Gst set

Rear brake shoes $40.00+ Gst set

It's from RDA Australia, which have branches in all the states (of Australia). On their website they say that they're working with EBC brakes which i saw on forums that are good...

newbie 2004 TJ brake issues

Hi guys,

I just brought a 2004 Wrangler, and I need to replace the front brake rotors, brake pads and rear brake shoes. I got a quote from a Jeep Dealer in Adelaide for around $700 parts only...

I looked on net about the parts, but there are soooooo many options with so many different prices, and I don't know what would be best for me Jeep . I don't do any offroading, mostly just daily commute...

Can anyone help with an advice or recommandation of what to buy and from where?

Cheers!
