Best hit was 169 in a reg cab Chevy truck with 8 15's with air temp of 53║f.
That is the truck but I don't have any digital pics of the box, bed cut, or amp rack ATM.

|lolpetewtf||I would love to know what sound level meters you guys are using to think you are actually getting 150+ dBA...and at what octave bands.|

|Dmactampa||Man I don't know... I have a JL Stealthbox and there are some lower notes that shake the hell out the back. I would worry about the bolts for the top coming loose before blowing out a window. I say let it rip. New seals can't cost more than a hundred or two and worse case is you need a new top, which is about $2k. You'll have a hell of a lot more in your stereo than that. Plus you can be the first to go viral on YouTube if you film it blowing up!!|

Come one guys 150 has to be easy to get in a JK I would think. I used to be big into stereo comps 15 years ago and one guy had two 15's in a banpass in a CJ5 that hit 154ish almost every time.
And damage to the jeep would not be an issue at all at only 145-150

Biggest Fear is all of the Mounting Points for the Freedom Panels. Over Time, it's gonna Leak.
You sure you're gonna be close to 150db?

|lolpetewtf||What are you going to do with 150 dBA? Assuming you get a Lmax that high.|

|vitodivita||I've seen "hair tricks" done in a JK. I'm pretty sure the hard top can handle it. I'd get the boom mat headliner to maximize quality..|

Big stereo with hardtop?
Hey guys, pretty new here but i'll have some pics up of my Gecko soon enough. I was wondering if any of you guys have put big subs in your JK? I am just trying to figure out how the hardtop will hold up to 145-150 DB's.
