solman Thanks, the jeep has been running great, I have over 1000 road miles on the jeep since the 1ton swap, and a few wheeling trips, I'm really happy with how it all came together.

06-24-2014 12:44 PM
solman So far I've put a little over 100 miles on the jeep and it's running great, all that's left for now it the wire the pump for the front locker, make limiting straps, and re route the exhaust.

solman Cool, I'll be up at Rausch creek this Saturday you should come up.

solman Now I just need to take care of some odds and ends but for the most part it is done!!! For now at least
06-08-2014 08:26 PM
solman I busted ass to get it done in time for the local monthly "Jeep night" at Its a local resturant whos owner is a jeep guy.
06-08-2014 08:24 PM
solman I also ran the brake lines and wired the new LED tail lights, put the gas tank back in and ran my lines.
Here it is at ride height after the first test run.

solman Its alive!!! After 9 months in the garage I drove the jeep Friday night.
Heres what kept me busy the last 2 weeks, Bent the stock front sway bar so it would clear the new track bar mount.

Added the sway bar links to the front axle

Made the strut brace the tie the coil over hoops together and stuffed the stock air box back in.

Mounted the hydro assist ram

Thanks, The shocks are only 11" travel. The plan is to upgrade to ORIs eventually so I didnt want to get too much $ wrapped up in the current suspension.

solman Outboarded one of the rear shocks yesterday, I'll get the other one this week.

solman Its been a while but here what I've been up to the last few weeks.
Relocated carbon canister since coilover hoop is in the way.

Cycled suspension to measure for rear shock location

GoldenSahara00 Nice work on the skid mods. I'm gona do the same to my Rokmen here down the road when I get to that stage, decided to save that til the fronts done I think. Looking great man almost there!
04-23-2014 08:56 PM
solman Now all that is left for the rear is to install the driveshaft, outboard the rear shocks, make and put on my rear shock mounts for the axle, and run the brake lines, and put the gas tank back in.
I was able to fit the tank back into the skid without any heat
04-23-2014 08:53 PM
solman I also manage to squeeze the stock rear anti sway bar in there
04-23-2014 08:52 PM
solman I also cut off the rear truss support from the axle, I figured with all the places its welded to the axle plus the tie in to the pinion guard it will be fine. Now I have lots of room for up travel.

04-23-2014 08:50 PM
solman I pulled the skid back out and started cutting, bending, and welding

04-23-2014 08:48 PM
solman I started working on getting the gas tank to fit this week. As you can see I have a clearance issue.

Once I did a little trimming to the Rokman gas tank skid I fount a new clearance issue, The area where the truss ties into the diff cover is hitting.

surferbear mmmmm....beefy!
04-13-2014 08:28 PM
solman for the 1st time in 6 months the jeep saw day light!!! Now I need to build a cross member to connect the coilover hoops, run my brake lines, alter the gas tank and skid to clear the rear diff, install the hydro assist ram, outboard the rear shocks, finish the tire carrier..... and I'm sure there is a ton of stuff I'm forgetting.

solman Back to the Jeep,
I put the hubs on the front today, Im running 2" spacers to keep the hub from sticking out too far, that puts my WMS to WMS at 70" up front and 67" in the rear
