|jeepnpr||I just got an 09 Sunburst Orange JK Unlimited X on saturday and many plans already for my Jeep. Like you I was without a Jeep for about 7 years. I used to have an 82 CJ-7, owned it for 22 years, sorry to see that one go but now I get to start the process all over again. Quick story on how I got mine, I had a Scion xA that I took in to the dealership for oil change and inspection. pulled in to dealership and left 3 hrs later in my Jeep. Funny how that happens, once you own a Jeep you prety much will have one for ever. Hope to have this one for another 20+ years. Good luck on finding yours --it's out there waiting for you.|

New Member - Missouri - Returning Jeep owner!
Hello Everyone! I've been out of a Jeep for way to long now! I used to have an old Renegade which I really loved until it broke down too much... I just couldn't take it anymore. I did abuse the hell out of it, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. (I've been Jeepless for approx 6 years).
A friend of mine just purchased a new 2009 Rubicon. He took me for a ride and of course.... NOW I want a Jeep again! I'm just trying to determine when is going to be the best time to get one. My son gets his drivers license in Aug when he turns 16. So I'm thinking I'm going to give him my car and purchase a Jeep. He's OK with that. He wants to be able to jump in by the back tires. (I used to have a 3" lift with 33" tires).
I'm leaning towards a Rubicon as well since it comes with a lift and I believe 32" tires.
I can't wait to own my own Jeep again. I love the feeling of being able to run around with no doors and no top! Not too sure how I'm going to feel about owning a NEW Jeep and wanting to go off-road until a few years after the purchase.
