This is the easiest method for those milk jugs:

I'm determined to give my dad the mod bug. No luck thus far.
I'm now trying the "if you modded yours we could take both jeeps offroad and that's much safer" approach. LOL

|Jaxon1023||Yeah I got mine off amazon. Like 13 bucks. There is a total of 5 bolts per cap I believe but you only reuse 3|

|Jaxon1023||If he is adding end caps you will need the clips so don't destroy them. I would cut the jug with a sawsall right at the bumper and proceed from there. I just did the same install. You need the top two clips and one on the bottom|

|Wesboy||I parked next to a sturdy pole and used a ratchet strap|

|Momamac||Don't forget the 2 torx underneath! I just did mine. The ones that spin will never come out, just grab the jug and work it up and down and it will eventually break the plastic from the speed nuts. I ended up with a few torx left in bumper that I drilled the heads off after pulling the jugs like that. It does look better when it is done though!|

|Barmanvarn||Thanks guys. Will pass this info on to him.|

|JimsJeep||Having done this several times, the easiest way I found is a claw hammer and a block of wood. At this point the Torx head screws and spring clips are pretty much trash so I slip the claw under and rip them out of the spring clips.|

|lindel||I just drilled them out. If he's not planning on putting them back on it's the easiest, quickest way, and you get them out in one piece.|
|05-27-2013 02:23 PM|
|Water Dog||If he's not going to reuse them, just cut through the jugs with a sawzall, then you can get pliers on the nut clips.|

The pic does help.

I'd think that either means the clips the bolts run into are either gone or somehow stripped out.
See if he can just pull them straight up and take the bolts out or pull them up until the thread can bite into the threads on the clips (if they are still there) and them ratchet them out.
Here's a pic, if it comes through, of the from the ones that came off of my 06 showing the clips that the bolts attach to....

|slayer74||Can he just pull straight up on them to get them out? Do they spin completely freely?|

Problem removing end caps on rear bumper
My dad is trying to remove the rear bumper end caps on his '06
He's says there are 2 torx bolts on each end and they just spin.
