Fireaxe Of course the rust was disclosed.....who would sell that Jeep for under 4k w/o frame rust.

JeepNoob2013 I've seen worse rust on CJ's listed on Craigslist for around the same price. Someone will probably rebuild it all on a new frame.

Brickonaskate Oh we'll. 3800 for a good looking tj is a good deal. The rust is give or take. Makes it less of a Good deal

MosesTJ Damn! Was the rust info given before sale? If not expect some bad mojo!

Fireaxe Its from Pittsburgh I believe....

JeepNoob2013 You'd probably get more parting it out. Everything looks good except the frame. You might get a couple thousand as is in one piece.

jeepers29 Is that Jeep from the north? I can't believe there would be that much rust on a southern Jeep.

Fireaxe What do you think it's worth in this condition?

Looks more like he found some frame among the rust. There's not much there to weld. Would take some major frame rework. A lot of cutting and welding of whole frame sections. Unless it's done by a highly experienced welder, it'll probably never align quite right.

ThatWhiteMachine101 You can get replacement mounts for the body and control arms. This will assume of course his frame is a cluster fuck of rust. These can be welded on. Another option is to junk yard scavenge for another TJ frame and the cut, grind, and weld then paint and install. Parting out is your best bet if the frame is completely shot.

Fireaxe A buddy of mine needs some frame help ASAP!

1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
4.0 Automatic

He started to notice it was handling weird and upon further investigation found some frame rust.

Option 1: Is anyone in the area capable of welding this?

Option 2: Selling it as is....

If you are open to either option let me know.
I can get all the info and pics you need.

thanks in advance.
