RUBI 4 MY MRS You called it a rough idle spell. That sounds like it comes on the clears itself & is OK. What makes it clear up? If it doesn't actually stall is that because it smooths out before stalling? A one time event or for several stops or what? Can you tell if it is starting in 2nd gear when this is happening?

Feddrvr It does this when I pull up and stop

RUBI 4 MY MRS What do you do to get it to clear up? Also do you notice that it starts in 2nd gear rather than 1st? It sounds like either the solenoid is hanging up or there is a bad pressure switch.

Here is what I have for that: 42RLE Code (DTC) P1775 Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in TCC Position. TCC is TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH which is what locks up the converter. I think that means the converter is staying locked up which could pull the idle down & possibly stall the engine or maybe it would release before that happens, I’m not sure.
More like a low idle....acts likes it's going to stall.

flflash Neither one of those codes are familar to me? The 1700 and 700 range is normaly reserved for Transmission DTC's. How did you read the codes?

Code help

I have a 2006 Wrangler Sport with I6 . I use it to deliver mail. Every day it's used on a route, late afternoon it will have a rough idle spell and engine light comes on and throws a P1775 and P700 code. Causes? Solutions?
