Comstock I live near Virginia City and I Drive about an hour and a half to Eagle Lakes or Cisco Grove near Auburn. Incredible 4 wheeling there. It's the site of the Sierra Trek. You can camp at Cisco Grove with full facilities or free camping with no facilities on the trail. It is close enough that you can just go for some day four wheeling as well

reddragons Planning on heading up that way in about 9 days. Have you looked at Henness Pass? I've heard this is a fun trail but don't know much about it yet. I do see that it goes from Verdi to Webber Lake.

Getting to be the wrong time of year for DV, we are starting to see 100 degrees! In the spring, fall and winter are the best times. Just saying.

Jpond53 Moon rocks is a pretty big area over here...anything from easy dirt roads to straight gnarly rock crawling.

jeff_in_rc Go to your local BLM office and get some maps and start looking for trails in your area. Then find your local Forest Service Ranger Station and do the same thing.

Then pick one or 2 and go have some fun.

Trails near Reno, NV?

I only know of the trails back in Caughlin in the BLM land that a bunch of people head up to. Does anyone know anywhere else and how to get up there?
