CoyoteOn2 If it's a Federally Approved Fuel Container you should be good to go.
Something to keep in mind, → → It's NOT the Fuel, (per-say) that
one should really be concerned with. IT'S THE VAPORS that present the
greatest Hazard. Example ► A Tank / Container that is half full, increases
the chance of an explosion 10 fold.

Adding a gas can for longer trips

I'm not at a point where I can add a Jerry can. Was planning to pick up a smallish plastic gas container to secure to my rear cargo tray, just to have extra gas if needed when in the middle of nowhere.

Is there anything special I need to consider? Like does the container need a vent port to vent gasses? I ask as it'll be josseled around some and will also likely sit in the sun sometimes.
