kjeeper10 Honestly did not like my 35x15, too much sidewall flex on road.
The only shop around would always give me grief running 12.5 on a 8" wheel. Not saying should not be done... many run this combo.

As far as weight. My new Load E Hankooks on 16's that are 20 lbs heavier and I noticed no difference in power.

vacca foeda I've got the same setup you're looking at (33x12.5x15 duratracs on level8 trackers) and I run it as a dd, with some light offroading. I've been very happy with that set up.

babiehughie I run 35X12.5 15's on 15X8 soft 8's. No problems at all. Don't go by the side-wall or "recommended" tire pressures - do a "chalk-test" to find the correct pressure for your rig. I have ~ 20k miles on my KM-2's and no adverse wear.

12.5" tire on 8" rim = poor man's bead-lock.

15x8 wheels for DD?

I am looking at getting 33x12.50x15 duratracs with Level 8 Tracker wheels. I am thinking of this combo because of the savings in weight. I had read a few posts saying that the 15x8 would be better for offroading because they can be aired down further than 15x10, however, the tread on the tire will not wear evenly. My offroading is limited to the beach and the occasional Rausch trip. I was wondering if this is the case and how severe the uneven wearing will be.
