I did the same thing and felt very pleased with myself for thinking of it. My wife took one look at my cheesy grin and just shook her head and walked away. It was a big moment for me though!

unusedusername Sorry for the delay.

My 13' also came with a little bit of insulation wrapped around the very top of the bar, but it basically did nothing after my side window stretched about a little bit. The window would flap around at 70+mph and hit the elbow part of the bar which was not covered by the factory insulation (which you can see still installed at the top of the insulation I added).

Thats funny mine came with essentially pipe insulation on it.. .

ffrogg I just bought Velcro straps for the sunrises and hades tea so I used them on the seatbelts attached to sportbars/rollcage

Marc W Speaking of snappy flapping.... not the same source but just as annoying is the seat belt flap when the top is off and the windows are down. I got a couple of those fake sheep skin slider things that old people use to cushion where the seat belt crosses over the shoulder and positioned them down where the belt flaps along the side of the seat. One on each side. Quiet relief!

Best $8 ever

I put some rubber 5/8" pipe insulation from home depot on the side bars of my soft top.

Now the loud snappy flapping of the vinyl windows at freeway speeds has changed into a slight flutter.

I'm very happy as the alternative would have been to run a hard top all the time.
