That's funny and doesn't surprise me
They put the same antenna from the F150 on the mustang and it looks really goofy
I might have one of your antennas on mine right now actually but I bought my mustang with it on there so I'm not sure

I'm going to get one for my jeep though for sure
That antenna scares the crap out of me when it's flailing around and hitting stuff

polarwhite I just put in the shorty. I did lose some radio reception, however i hardly listen to the radio anyway. So im not too worried about that. I mainly listen to my devices or satellite radio. I love the way it looks!

GoldenTrump I love the look of this, and am considering it for my '08 JK. My only question is how much it TRULY affects the AM tuning. I know that sounds odd, but I'm a NY'er and I need Sports Radio 660FAN, lol.

I've read about half of the posts in this thread and it seems like a mixed bag of results?

Gumbys69 Loved the looks of my Antenna x buuuuuuut the cheap plastic base just crumbled and broke after a few weeks. Pretty disappointing to only last a few weeks, no car washes or anything hit it either.

kaotic4life The reason I don't want to get a shorty antenna, when going into areas like parking garages it lets me know if I can make it without hitting my roof.

13 in Antenna X

Just installed the Antenna X 13 inch and I have had zero problems with the reception. Very happy with the looks and quality.

I am assuming not, my main thought was that the shorter antenna's are the reception issue, which is why I would rather a stock length soft coated flexible one.

FloridaFeMan Pretty disappointed here. I also installed the 13" shorty and my reception went down considerably and I live in pancake flat Florida in an area where there are few to none tall structures. Not sure if I'll keep mine although the aesthetics is much nicer than the stock whip.

rockabillyroy I got the 13". Reception definitely dropped around some structures, but it's okay on the street.
Debating whether or not to get the 24" and see if it brings it back closer to stock.
