Holton345 Had a cop let me through a checkpoint after he quizzed me on my lift. He said, "Well, I roll on Currie, so I should take you to jail for that Metalcloak stuff you're running. But my partner here runs Metalcloak, so I have to let you go. Consider yourself warned. Have a good day, sir."

BAHAHAHA!!!

Focke Wulf Happened this past summer and I forgot to post this on here....

First time I had the doors off, no side mirrors. Was at the gas station inside paying for gas then a cop pulls up next to my Jeep. I then leave the store...

"is this your Jeep?"

"yes sir."

"why do you not have any doors on?"

"Because its fun..."

At this time I'm worried about getting a ticket.

"you know with any car that doesn't have side mirrors is illegal."

"I know"

"I could write you a ticket but I will not. My brother has a Jeep and it's a blast to ride without the doors. Just make sure you double check when you're merging. Have a good day."

He drives away. What the hell just happened I said to myself?

Why would someone as short as you want to make that "thing" taller? Fat girls can't Jump, but we can crawl!

Blackjack608 I had a guy once come up to me at a gas station as I was filling up once say "valet? (I worked valet over the summer and was filling up before work wearing my shirt) I see you're taking a car for a joy ride, at least you're filling it up for them" which then I said "it's actually mine, people around here are too lazy to drive a stick". This guy wouldn't leave me alone until I left just asking all about my jeep and saying how he loves them how you can take everything off and how he loves the wind yadayadayada. It was funny though lol

I run into that, too. And then the "that's nice paint for 10 years old." That color doesn't ever look faded.

I guess there's just not that many around, many people have never seen it before....

Tinker Bell Monster 2 things. Both a little funny...

1) filling up at a gas station and dude pulls up behind me...I finished topping off run inside for whatever and dudes still there. He says "hey, I really like your Jeep, that yours? I say yes it's mine...and hop in, drive off.

The reason it's funny; he was driving a lifted FJ and wanted a compliment as well...he might still be waiting.

2) other dumb stupid thing... I've been asked how do I get in? Uh...jump. How do you drive it? Um...the skinny peddle on the right?

Figure it out people, it's not rocket science

aas3356 I was heading to a good friends family get together, which usually involves camping and drinking. When I arrived I was greeted by a drunk guy who I hadn't met. He began to explain that there is a steep 4-wheeler trail that they use to bring coolers and supplies up to camp. He Said "see those four trucks down there? Not one could make it up that trail...it's all up to you..." At this point there was no way I could tell the guy no so I told him to pack the coolers in the back and lets go...not knowing what i was getting myself into. Start crawling up this thing with no problem and this guy is so amazed he can't stop talking about how cool keeps are and how he wants one now...another guy sold on a jeep

mrcarcrazy Currently the only comments I've gotten are "I thought you sold this" my 01 was also black....so they look similar.

Those are the 8 1/2 X 15 Gambler wheels. My favorite of all time on Jeeps.

I just looked at him and said "Make it down alot more trails than that ever could!", pointing at his truck. He never responded after that. It truly was a nice truck, but why be so smug and arrogant about it?

My last wrangler bit the bullet in 2003 and was starting a family so I wasn't focused on jeeps for a while. I had a Cherokee but wasn't doing any mods on it, just using it at a home depot vehicle.

Then I saw an LJ a few years later at a convenience store and had a very similar reaction to the above discussion.

I wanted one since then - and finally got one last week!

That being said, I don't ever want to get rid of it and it's an absolute blast to own."
