Yes. I am giing to by some grab handkes and then wrap them, gonna wrap the passenger's handle and the shifter shaft

Edit: ...that I have thought of so far

viperx6x9x Yeah i was never big on wheel covers either. the few i tried never fit right and/or came undone way too easily. Only reason my TJ has one is the PO had it on there, and this is the first i've ever had that stayed in place so I'm just leaving it.

If/when it does fall apart I will definitely try out your idea though.

Kenobi Yeah i'm with you, I hate steering wheel covers, I was hopibg this would be different and man it is. Plus I wrapped it so tight it really didnt make the steering wheel feel much bigger in your hand. If youre near me i'd be happy to let you check it out

SHADYDC hmm.. very interesting, not sold on the idea but if it was in bad shape then would be great, i hate all steer wheel covers so might have to try this when needed

Kenobi Yeah dude, grip and just general level of comfort are vastly improved.

viperx6x9x Looks nice, I wish mine had cruise. Should give you better grip on the wheel too.

Kenobi I took a hundred foot roll of 500 cord, wrapped it around a short screwdriver, and wrapped my steering wheel, keeping it very taught

Had this idea for a while but didnt have the jeep. Took a little longer than I thoight it would and hurt more too. The end result was well worth it I think. It feels awesome and the steering wheel was a little crumbly so took care of that too. Took about an hour and a half and wound up being about 80ft.
