|Original Nerd||Is loc-tite needed with the install? I bought the 13" one and I am about to install it. Didn't know if hand tightened was all that is needed or loc-tite.|

AntennaX 14" billet. No change in reception. I like!

|RandomMcFly||Got the '13 Antenna X chubby/stubby one. Took all of 60 seconds to install, and is a noticeable visible improvement to the Jeep. Reception did take a hit, even living only ~20 mi from downtown Atlanta in the 'burbs. The bigger problem is that the radio doesn't stop on many stations when in "Seek" mode. It'll cycle from FM channel 80-something through channel 107-something and only stop on one station.|

|Dr. Evil||I put on my 13" antenna couple of days ago. Tried it today. The local am stations I listen to as well as the local fm stations were fine. I live a couple of hours from NY city (NW). The NY sports and talk radio stations (2) didn't come in so great I guess due to the distance. I listen to the local stations most of the time so I am leaning towards keeping it. It definitely looks better than stock.|

I picked up the 24" CB to be safe. Have not installed it. The shipping packaging was kinda poor. A mostly empty tube with the antenna in it. The tube was crushed / damaged in shipment. The mail lady brought it to the door letting me know they received it damaged.
Opened it and the antenna was damaged. The plastic casing was nicked exposing the copped wiring about mid way.
Took pictures and contacted the vendor per their website instructions for return / swap.
Have not got nada from them ( Four Days now )

I cut about 15" off the stock antenna, pulled the ball of the top and epoxied it on the new, shorter OE antenna and sprayed it black.
The reception is essentially changed from full length and I think it looks much better.

I prefer the look of the beefier antenna

|Thepubicon||Or you guys could just cut the stock antenna down with a hacksaw. Works pretty good, just paint the cut end so it doesn't rust.|

I tried a 13" and a 24" but where I am they were a compromise for reception.
Both are for sale in the classifieds.

|DR_||I bought the Antenna X 5" and I'm pleased. It still picks up all my Dallas stations and I'm in the burbs.|

|gus54||Just ordered the 14". Funny it was very windy today and as I was cruising the highway at 65 mph I was watching the factory antenna snapping back and forth thinking I need to replace that. Glad to support a forum vendor.|

|UtahWrangler||I just received my two 13" Antenna X antennas. I put one on my 2012 JK and I have one for when my 2014 JKU arrives. I like the look and quality of the product. I'm an AM sports talk radio guy and as long as I can pick up my two channels, I'm happy....so far so good.|

|donmeca2020||i would prefer a small stubby antenna for mine. while driving home from sanford yesterday to actually pick up my 2014 JKU i just hated seeing the stock antenna flying around... i was afraid it would hit the fender or the side area around the windsheild.|

you might want to make sure to tighten the antenna top to the bottom part before putting on the vehicle as they sometimes come loose in transit

|Lowerumble||Is there any other option that at least maintains or even improves stock reception. I have never seen a product continue to sell with as many of these "looks neat" (if you think a skinny five inch shaft is neat?) but performs worse type of threads...|
