Chilly03 Cool ... I'm in Baltimore. We are only like an hour from each other.

mwx Yesterday there were four Jeeps headed in as we were coming out. It started to rain like an SOB as they were going in. I was wondering if any of them were part of this forum.

We're gonna go again in a few weeks. Have some weekend things to do until then. But it's a great ride - and one of the trails is significantly more rugged that you can see in the videos on YouTube. Way rocky and steep in places.

mwx A little bit of rain yesterday - this is one of the smoother trails there.

Itsdatoneguy Hey Fairfax! welcome!!! I used to live in Burke where my father and baby brother still live. I'll have to take my YJ down and hit some trails with you.

mwx Fairfax VA. I've been trolling these forums for endless hours trying to learn all I can about the Jeep - which I can work on because it is very similar to late 80's BMW motors and drive-lines, which is where I cut my teeth.

I watched a ton of videos about GWNF trails on YouTube to get ready for the trip. We really only took it for a little while on the really rough stuff - just to make sure everything was working correctly.

The tranny shifts great in 2hi/4hi and 4low works like a champ. It goes up inclines like it has lockers - but to the best of my knowledge it's all stock.

I've wanted a Jeep for years but never had the balls to pull the trigger till now. Couldn't be any more happy that I did. Itching to go out again.

Probably a Jeeper for life now...

After a few weeks of replacing all of the fluids and the rear brake lines, oil pressure sending unit and a vacuum line - I think I'm in love with the *new* 1989 Sahara..

Took it out to GWNF yesterday and ran in the rain and muck all day. The vehicle performed flawlessly at normal tire pressure on several rocky, muddy inclines and never once slipped or felt like it was going anywhere but up. Great ride. Great machine. And the heavy rains washed it all off for me as well.

Here's us we are after a stop to cook some lunch...
