Aluminum unfinished. I am not a fan of rust and am in the PNW were we get a little bit of rain so aluminum don't rust.

n3tfury Ditch your Rubi Rails for a couple hundred to a fellow Jeeper that has a Sport model and get the Ace weld on sliders.

DaK Nothing wrong with ACE's have seen them on our decompose granite and they do take the beating but as suicide has already said, you will lose ground clearance.

I am running Rockhards "normal" skids, pricey yes but out here cheap isn't always the best solution.

Here is a rockhard version that is not so pricey and doesn't sacrifice ground clearance.
Rock Hard 4x4 Tube Style Rocker Guards - 4 Door 2007-2013 JK (pair)

Yep, they look like rubi rails that have been welded on.

Don't know your style of wheeling mild or wild but my advice is to save your pennies and buy better units such as PSC or Rockhard.

As for aluminum, on the slick rock they do pretty good but on anything else that aluminum gets chewed and dented up pretty good. We wheeled with a guy that HAD an aluminum belly pan. Emphasis on HAD... by the end of the run it was chewed and beaten up where the steel ones had a few scratches.

suicideking The Ace rails do go well with the Rubi rails. Don't know of any others that will work with the Rubi rails because most will mount where the rubi rail is.

If you don't like the Ace rails, get something else and sell you Rubi rails. If you get a good quality rail, there is no need for the Rubi rails.

Additionally, anything that will let you use both, will lose ground clearance. This is fine if you're doing light to medium wheeling. If you're planning on rock crawling, you will want that clearance Clarence.

whiteyjfm We have the ACE sliders with the Rubicon rails and the are more than OK. They are great!!!!

But I know we all have our own taste. Good luck with the decision.

PHILDABEAST Awesome! I was just about to start this same thread.

I'm also looking for other options to run with the stock rubi rail.

I know everybody loves the ace rock rails but I'm really not a big fan of them and for just a few extra $ I could have the jcr deluxe rockers.

Rock-sliders: What goes with Rubicon Rock Rails

I am upgrading the armor on my 2013 JKUR. I will be going with river raider skids but am not sure about rock sliders. I have heard ACE sliders and the Rubicon Rock Rails are a ok combo but is another one you think is beter OR have I missed the mark and should go another direction?
