wmshay6 I love to visit family in what is affectionately known as Lower Slower Delaware. Only problem is when you abbreviate it onto one of those Euro stickers, it becomes LSD. Kinda humorous, but not sure I'd want a sticker like that on my ride.

dylan1991 Back when I worked at a fast food joint the computer operating system's name was POS. No one knew what it actually stood for but it lived up to the other meaning quite well.

Beastmaster Sounds like an article I read a while back. All US airports have a 4 letter FAA ID code assigned to them. Because they all start with a "K" most people just use the last 3 letters (that's why Los Angeles Int'l is reffered to as LAX).

Anyway, there is a group trying to change the code for Suix City, Iowa (and there are others trying to exploit it)

MikeinMinn Not as bad, but I used to own a Toyota Tundra TRD. Seems like Toyota should have reconsidered that one. While TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development, what American ISN'T going to think "turd"?

Unfortunate names...

So when you visit a place and its abbreviation is the following:

The only thing worse is when the actual name has the same connotation (see the small print under the abbreviation)

What other "Unfortunate Names or Abbreviations" have you run across?
