The rear is in. A couple tips for those of you who might be interested in this lift. When installing the rear track bar relocation bracket you have to drill a few holes to mount the bracket. On the lower 3/8" hole drill towards the upper end of the slot. If you drill too low it makes it impossible to get a wrench on the backside nut. When you're installing the 3/8" & 5/16" nuts "blind" in the relocation bracket it helps to put one drop of superglue on the new nut & washer to hold them together. Trying to blindly get a nut AND washer lined up with a bolt is not fun. The springs go in pretty easily and a spring compressor is not necessary if the axle is lowered enough. I did have to get the handle of the lug wrench to pry one in but it wasn't a big deal. Here's a couple pics to see the difference in spacing.
Old springs versus new.

|Los57||Lift is finally going in. So far so good. Some words of advice before tackling this or any automotive project. Read the directions first and read them fully. Check your tools to make sure you have everything they mention. If they mention a wrench size make sure you have a corresponding socket size in both standard and deep well. As for the sway bar link bushings, grease them, place something solid and flat on the top, and just push them in. Don't try the hammer method. I did and the bushing bounced out of the link like a rocket, bounced off a wall, and rolled under the Jeep. Funny to picture now but it wasn't at the time. LOL More updates and pictures to follow later.|

yeah, rough ride doesnt matter much to me either...
between the two, the hydro shocks rode better on the street but the nitro shocks do a lot better offroad so you'll be happy with them.
I only had like 20k on the hydro shocks before i had to change them
the nitros seem to be a great option, though.
Good luck with the install!!!

|Los57||Every vehicle I've owned except one has been a truck or SUV so a rough ride doesn't phase me. Look forward to my track bar coming in so I can finally get everything installed.|

Yeah, i plan to do the SYE as well because i'm going to be doing a tummy tuck in the near future. The jeep is getting a new 8.8 axle, gears, and 35's so figure i'll go ahead and do the tummy tuck at the same time! With all of that, i definitely know what its like to run out of funds haha...
hell, i'm out of funds right now!!!
The nitro shocks are just fine...i originally ran the hydro shocks and ended up blowing one of them out during a trip a few months ago but just never got around to fixing them until now.
They ride a bit rough on the street but they do great offroad and take the larger obstacles like a champ...you'll be satisfied with them

|Los57||Glad to hear it. I know I'll eventually do the SYE and a BL but just ran out of funds for the time being. How do you like the nitro shocks? I also went with that upgrade.|

I didnt have any vibes with mine...
i'm essentially running the zone 4.25 kit along with the 1" mml and nitro shocks.
I got my zone kit before the 4.25 kit was offered and after the 3" kit settled i had about 3.75" of lift and i ran the tcase drop for a while. Eventually i took the tcase drop off and put the mml on there with my 1.25 body lift.
No vibes with 3" and tcase drop
vibes with 3" lift and no tcase
no vibes with 3" lift, 1.25" bl, and 1"mml

|Los57||Did you notice any vibes after install? It seems to be hit or miss as far as whether or not people have a problem.|

|mdavidc||I installed the same lift a few months ago.the bushings pop right in with a little grease and a mallet.I used track bar relocation brackets. They seemed to work fine.It took me about 15 hrs. to install mine.I went slow and took my time.I also had a few beer brakes.|

|Los57||My lift is here, tires are ready to install, and a new MC adjustable track bar is on the way. My sway bar links were supposed to come with bushings pre-installed but they came separate. How hard are the bushings to push into the end? Will I need a mallet? Any tips?|

|Los57||Question to all who have installed this or a similar lift. Who didn't go with an adjustable track bar? If you didn't how is it working for you?|

|tjcasey||Did you spray those shocks yourself? I was looking into this lift but wasn't to keen on the look of it.|
|06-04-2013 02:45 PM|
Lift kit arrived and is all in order. Now I just need to order a track bar and get the tires. I'm leaning towards the MC adjustable as it's received good reviews and is actually cheaper than the JKS or Rubicon Express.

If you had a JK and a gold coin they are doing a promo that you can get a 2.5/3.5" lift for a single one ounce gold coin.

Take a look at this thread. Lots of good info on the MC track bar and pictures.
|06-03-2013 01:26 AM|
|Los57||Thanks, man. I'm going to try to take pics of the lift install process so I can post them here. I'll take pics of the track bar as well.|
|06-03-2013 01:19 AM|
And whine you've got your springs out anyway, you should check the track bar for clearance issues (along with shocks bottoming out) and take pictures of the clearance stuff. Especially if you get the MC track bar. But pictures of the JKS I'm sure would be welcomed as well. Anyway, good luck!
