Yeah the sag with the top on is annoying. One idea I tried was to fold it back thus doubling up over the rear. That also works well when topless too. I decided to completely remove mine and store it for the winter.
So far I really love my TA shade. It's tough and being 6'4" tall it's not an issue like some tops I have seen reviews on.

|kenb1023||I love my TA Shade but have a few issues. It is a PIA to hook the center strap if you have the POD switches. When the top is down I have to undo the front right and left straps for the top latches to conect letting the shade sag on my head. Need to come up withways to fix this.|

|tae73||I would say yes, because on the girlfreinds 4 door it does help.|

|Rabbitdave||Any more updates on this product? Have a 2dr JK softtop that I like to run around without the top, but hate the wind issues with the top down. Does TA full shade help with the wind? If so, I may be sold. Can find a good solution to cutting the wind and still having room in the front two seats.|

|igivup||it may well be another month before I actually have the weather to put this thing on. I still have my hard top on, and the weather here is cold and wet, so if you would like a pic of it spread out on the floor, I can do that.|

Well 6 months later, and I now realize why I don't like dealing with Northridge 4X4 in Canada. It seems they don't want my money! Never did hear back on my Trek Armor top. Oh well, they're loss, I ended up spending nearly $1400 at the competition's business instead!
I now have a sunshade from Trek Armor,(among many other items), and it looks very stout.
No less than 16 points of tether, and a very heavy, well stitched perimeter with robust straps with velcro. Will we ever see warmer weather!!!!

Northridge said they keep changing the design a bit, and they haven't seen them yet!
I have one coming as soon as they get them in.

How about more actual reviews of the shade from other users?

Did I miss something? How did this thread go from being about Trek Armor shade to selling and installing a Spider shade?
I was hoping to see an update on the delivery date of the Trek Armor shade.

|shanersrvn||Can't send private messages for some reason. I don't know how to change the setting. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. is it for a JKU?|

|shanersrvn||So, I've been watching this one and seem to like it. Now that it has been a while, how does everyone that bought it like it after using it? Do the new orders now come with the modifications to have hard top on at same time?|

|tae73||Ok, how are you suppose to put the freedom panels back in with the shade still in place. I cannot reach the back corner and back in latches with the top on.|

|pepatrick||First impressions of the 2nd version are pretty good so far. It fits better up front and has the holes for the hard top. It actually seems to be a little loose, but it makes no flapping noise at all. Its not much different than the 1st one but somehow it is much quieter.|

|ReggieJk||Same here. I also jus put hardtop back on.|

|DallasJKU||I just received my revised top but won't be putting on because I just put the hardtop back on since it is in upper 90's and that's too hot for me to run a shade. I will hopefully get it on in a few weeks when the weather starts to change.|

|ReggieJk||Yea loop the rear corner straps around the rear top seat belt bolts.|
|08-21-2013 08:49 PM|
|r3m3mb3r||Yes that's what I was asking about and that may be where I'm going wrong. I have mine looped around the entire roll bar and it doesn't work too good that way. It's dark now so I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Thanks,|

|ReggieJk||The farthest rear corners loop around the rear seat belt bolts if that's what u r asking about.|
|08-21-2013 07:30 PM|
|r3m3mb3r||Can someone really explain or even better post a picture of how they have the back corners attached to the roll bar (mine looks like the earlier post right now)? I don't for the life of me see how you can use the metal clasps to tighten it up. Almost seems like something is sewn on wrong or something. I like this thing but I can't really get it tight enough for my liking. Note that I have one of the first batch and haven't received a replacement yet so it may very well be a defect.|
