QADaemon The good news is, that's only like a 20 minute in-the-driveway fix with a philips and a flat screwdriver.

This might be it. Temperature changes, but it stays on the floor. I thought it might be a control door issue.

Quadrcr161 I dropped mine off this morning at the AC shop and being in Alabama i know how you feel, outside of montgomery the news says its 95, but feels like 101. Hope you get it figured it out.

QADaemon Does the fan noise change if you sit in the driveway idling and change the fan speed switch? If not, blower motor resistor.

However, it sounds like it could be a vacuum issue of some sort, which was common on a couple years with the control cluster. You can get the whole thing with the directional switch, temperature switch, and fan switch all in one for ~100 at the dealer. Mine was stuck on floor with hot air when that fell apart, but it was a simple to change unit and has been working fine since.

Please help me with this freaking A/C

Alabama heat is relentless. My air conditioning has been not working for over a year now. I've done everything I know to do. I'm going to give you all the symptoms, and maybe someone with some HVAC experience can help.

To begin with, sometimes the air would work and other times it wouldn't. Then it stopped working completely. The only air that came through the vents was the air which went into the engine compartment and made its way through the hoses and whatnot to the dash. The temperature of the small amount of air that would come through changed as I changed the controls. Took everything apart and cleaned the connection points on a harness and all worked for a few weeks before it went bad again. This time, I left it alone. It stayed without air for several months, then my engine blew in March and I replaced it. Right after that, I took it to a shop to see if they could fix what I couldn't. They agreed that the problem was definitely the blower motor, and traced it to the harness. Now, I'm not sure what all they did to trace the problem. I've looked almost everywhere and haven't found anything disconnected. When I got the Jeep back, I turned the A/C on. What sounded like a closed system at first now sounded like a floor fan on the passenger side of my vehicle. Something was up. I changed the output of the air flow and heard and felt the control doors switching where the air was flowing. I can hear the blower motor putting in WORK, but I can't seem to figure out why there is almost no air coming from the vents. If anyone has ANY idea of where I should look, please post. I'm tired of showing up everywhere moistened by sweat.
