|jeeptjduner||I called iamjeep about the kzo status and all she could tell me was that I am in kz status and I have started the process of being shipped. I'm guessing the delay is from the weather, but right now I can't get an answer.|

X-Arrow, if you don't mind saying, what part of South Dakota do you live in? I grew up near Howard, about 65 miles from Sioux Falls. BTW, thanks for writing up the Order Waiting Survival Guide; I've referred to it many times over the last 2 months.

As for the undercoating, there was another thread about this within the last two or three months. You might try searching for it. There were lots of pros/cons. I just can't remember enough to comment.

My JKURX is coming to me in Muskegon, Michigan (right across the lake from Chicago). I was in KZ for one day and today I'm in KZO, which I have not seen on this thread. I think it comes directly on a truck since I'm so close. My dealer called today and said the eta is 12-16. My feeling is that I will be able to pick it up early next week.
Question, this might be more appropriate for another thread but I will start here. What are you who live in salt belts like I do where they use salt on the roads during winter doing about trying to prevent rust? My dealer sells a package for $899 that puts a sealant on the paint that bonds with the paint and an undercoating on the undercarriage that is thicker than a sealant. He claims that there is a 10 year warranty on the underbody and a 7 year on the paint sealant (it might be the other way around I have already forgotten but I know the numbers are right). He also states that the second I see any evidence of rust within that time frame that I contact them and the spots will be fixed, likely by reprinting the surface, wherever or whatever it may be.
Does anyone have any facts on this? For $900 and the peace of mind that my JK won't rust out like my TJ did I am strongly considering this.

Question relating to delivery. Since I live in the Chicagoland I believe my jeep will be sent by truck. Since it will be coming by truck will I stay in KZ status until it is delivered to the dealer?
Anyone else have their jeep sent by truck and not rail?

Starting to get antsy for movement on mine, IAMJEEP/dealer says estimated ship date is 12/16... not holding my breath on that but I really hope it gets finished and shipped before the factory goes on xmas break. I'm only 4 weeks since I placed the order, but I'm already starting to lose my patience... I can't wait to get my hands on it and start modding away!

Perfect mikeBoyd, another Copperhead arrives.
Hopefully mine will appear in the next days/ week.
Can only sit and wait, and fill the spare room with extra bits and pieces to add to it.
Enjoy the Jeep.

|mikedboyd||Just thought I add, since I still can't believe we did it, that we spent almost $3,500 in 'soft' purchases at the dealer, all Mopar contracts. I intend to keep this vehicle for at least 10 years. With that in mind, we shelled out $2,185 for the lifetime Maxcare $100 ded warranty (no limit on years or miles), $799 for the paint/fabric/undercoat/anti-rust package, also lifetime with an annual checkup (and $2,000 extra trade-in at any Chrysler dealer in the future) and $449 for 5 years of oil changes, tire rotations (with balance). Never done this before, but I want this thing to stay very nice and this is one way to do that. I won't be off-roading (much anyway) or heavily mod-ing. We'll see in a few years how we feel about it.|

“This is total BS! I hope you can get your deposit back now. If I had to guess, this dealer never intended to honor the deal he made. Sounds like a bait and switch kind of guy. Hope it works out for you.”
Salesman took my credit card and returned it to me and said that Tony Domiano said we shook on it and that his hand shake is good and he doesn’t need the money.
“RIDICULOUS!! I was terrified that something like this would happen to me today, I'm so thankful everything that was discussed when I ordered the jeep went as planned today. This should not be able to happen. Did they give you your deposit back? I Bet Another Dealership can get Your JEEP OFF THEM. I'm sure there's a dealership out there that will happily work with you and not F you over, especially if you explain your story. Makes me sick that this happened, sorry you have to go through this!”
Thinking of calling a few dealers to explain.
The thing that surprises me is that they don't care about the reviews. A few bad reviews can really hurt a business. I wish I didn't have to speak out about this but I am most worried about others that may run into this guy. Reviews have really helped me in most of my purchases. I'm one of the few that will post good reviews as well as bad. The thing that most annoys me is that Tony SR seems like a nice old man, ya know, the grand-pop type that built a business as a kid and worked his way up by doing the right things. He's still at the dealership even in his old age and I thought that was kind of cool.
