Northridge said they keep changing the design a bit, and they haven't seen them yet!
I have one coming as soon as they get them in.

How about more actual reviews of the shade from other users?

Did I miss something? How did this thread go from being about Trek Armor shade to selling and installing a Spider shade?
I was hoping to see an update on the delivery date of the Trek Armor shade.

|shanersrvn||Can't send private messages for some reason. I don't know how to change the setting. My email is email@example.com. is it for a JKU?|

|shanersrvn||So, I've been watching this one and seem to like it. Now that it has been a while, how does everyone that bought it like it after using it? Do the new orders now come with the modifications to have hard top on at same time?|

|tae73||Ok, how are you suppose to put the freedom panels back in with the shade still in place. I cannot reach the back corner and back in latches with the top on.|

|pepatrick||First impressions of the 2nd version are pretty good so far. It fits better up front and has the holes for the hard top. It actually seems to be a little loose, but it makes no flapping noise at all. Its not much different than the 1st one but somehow it is much quieter.|

|ReggieJk||Same here. I also jus put hardtop back on.|

|DallasJKU||I just received my revised top but won't be putting on because I just put the hardtop back on since it is in upper 90's and that's too hot for me to run a shade. I will hopefully get it on in a few weeks when the weather starts to change.|

|ReggieJk||Yea loop the rear corner straps around the rear top seat belt bolts.|
|08-21-2013 08:49 PM|
|r3m3mb3r||Yes that's what I was asking about and that may be where I'm going wrong. I have mine looped around the entire roll bar and it doesn't work too good that way. It's dark now so I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Thanks,|

|ReggieJk||The farthest rear corners loop around the rear seat belt bolts if that's what u r asking about.|
|08-21-2013 07:30 PM|
|r3m3mb3r||Can someone really explain or even better post a picture of how they have the back corners attached to the roll bar (mine looks like the earlier post right now)? I don't for the life of me see how you can use the metal clasps to tighten it up. Almost seems like something is sewn on wrong or something. I like this thing but I can't really get it tight enough for my liking. Note that I have one of the first batch and haven't received a replacement yet so it may very well be a defect.|

I just received my Spiderweb Shade Jkini in Trailmesh.
I had put off buying one for a while. I am really impressed with the quality of these now. I was told they made some upgrades/changes to mesh, and border.
I am really happy I got it at the price I did. $59 bucks, 5 year warranty.

|panthermark||I like how it sits higher than the SWS, but I don't like how it is darker with a tighter weave.|

"We're working on instructions right now. The hook is there for a temporary hold, such as if you want to attach it quickly with no tools, or at an event, etc. You have the ability to switch to the grommet to hold it more securely when you have the time an tools to bolt it in. Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks,"

|DallasJKU||I'm still waiting for my revised version. Hopefully they will make detailed instructions. I think they have the right idea with the design. I'm going to buy a SWS JKini for times when it's just me and no passengers in rear or my dog.|

someone help me i'm stuck.. what do i do with the middle clasp and grommet hole?
and how in the world do you wrap the rear part?
i'm impressed with the quality, but disappointed i can't figure it out.

It is really a shame my SWS is basically brand new with a 5 year warranty. I have zero reason to replace it right now.

|pepatrick||Just got an e-mail response from Mitch at TA. Apparently some of these first orders that went out will be redone in a couple of weeks. I believe it will address the wrinkles up in the front corners as well as hard top holes. I did take it for a test run and it appears to not flap as much as the SWS trail mesh.|
