WatchThis! Trust me you will fill the bumps wity a set of Fox shocks. Especially at first.

terrabit I was under the impression that Fox shocks give a relatively harsh ride. Is this not so?

This was what I thought and made me change my mind. More when I went to get the quote to reinforce it. I was told about the sleeves, gussets, ball joints. In addition the arm brackets need to be replaced, the owner had a car accident and the brackets got damaged but the differential not. I was recommended to add an adjustable track bar.

Then, it comes the rear situation. Re-gear to 5.13. I think this will be too much for my 33 tires, 4.88 now feels a little too much in the road. Plus this easily cost me $500 in parts and labor.

With the parts for the D44 and the re-gear it will go up to 2K easily, and at that moment I said to myself "I rather wait and replace it for a Dynatrack later on"

The Fox shocks seem to be a good upgrade, but I have never been in one with those shocks. All I have is other people say "they are really good, you won't feel the bumps or if you do it will be less than now". Well that's the point, that's what they are supposed to do, but when I look at their shocks they have either stock or rancho, or other brands. And I'm afraid of spending so much on shocks, but right now seems the way to go money wise.

Sleeves, gussets, ball joints possibly a truss and its ready to roll.
The r/p is the same size in those as well but for a lot more money you get some tube strength which can be had for $200 or so in gussets and truss...

The pro rock or Terraflex is nice but honestly of you spend on a 44 then to me seems a waste do a 60.
In 44s the stocks built are good got a buddy running d44 with 40s on his 2dr and does all the stuff with exception of back door at hammers about every other weekend. He snapped a rcv but kept his 4:10s and hasn't had other issues...

So if I'm gonna build a PR or tr its gonna be a 60 or just save the coin lose a little street coolness credit and build a stock unit.

For a grand if its complete with locker its a good deal issue would be the rear needing to be regeared and putting him over budget.
If he doesn't plan on 37s down the road then throw a Eaton locker up front for a grand installed or just buy the d44 with a locker already lol....

I do agree with the shock suggestion...that would be a good upgrade....

If the jeeps doing what you need invest the money, or save it....the next few times out will tell you what you need not so much what you want....then buy.

mistasparkl 1k for a front rubi44 is a good deal. Just sleeve/gusset it, and new gears to match your rear, and you're good to go. You'll have the rubi locker in it too.

BTW: awesome username. One of my all time fav animes.

What to do with $1k

Guys, I got 1k to spend on my jk. I have a 2.5 lift with stock shocks, dynomax exhaust, rock guards, winch and bumper, 4.88 ratio, diff covers, wheels and 33 inch tires, viper throtle body, diablo sport computer.

I was thinking about getting fox prerunner shocks

I was offered a front D44 with 5.13 ratio but I need to replace the arm brakets cause they are damaged, it was from a rubicon, for 1k

What do you think is best, or would you say to buy something elae.
