Porktownff51 I have the rugged ridge great this far. Down side is install on my 13 jku. Just had to be a little creative to get the nuts on the two middle bolts. Just covered. One side of a box wrench with some duct tape the nut wouldn't fall out and life made easy.

LOL It seems that Amazon has been getting quite a few of nasty letters from people. They really need someone to test or check out what they say won't or will fit. I'm still laughing though.

Suebabe I have a 2 Door JK with 3.73 and want to order both a hitch and a basket. I am interested in the Hidden Hitch receiver from Quadratec but wondered if I need a Class III for a basket--either from Harbor Freight or Quadratec? There is a note on the Hidden Hitch basket from Quadratec (Item #12033.11) for Universal Fit that states: "Our experts recommend the Hidden Hitch Class III receiver...."

Agree?

Cool! That explains that. Wonder why they didn't tell e that. Things that go...hmmm.

dpostman Since no one has mentioned the CURT MANUFACTURING hitch, I will throw in the one I put on my jeep. Got it from Amazon, 5 stars, Made in USA, Class III, $90
Hitch: Amazon.com: Curt Manufacturing 13432 Class III Receiver: Automotive

Wiring: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Instructions says that you do not need to remove rear bumper, but I found it much easier after I did. It takes less than five minutes to remove the bumper, and one of the pre-drilled holes on my jeep was smaller than the other 3, so with the bumper off, I took my drill and enlarged it enough to get the bolt through. Wiring was extremely easy.

Rinaldo Even Quadratec lists that it fits... are you certain?
Rugged Ridge 11580.10 - Rugged Ridge Xtreme Value Receiver Hitch for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Are you certain?

The box states 07-13 JK

Before I ordered it, I filled in the vehicle info on Amazon to make sure it was for my vehicle.

I am picking the car back up today from Dealership after getting the roof sealed properly and the kicker speakers installed, I'll try to figure this out then. I can't believe they'd sell it with that on the box!

Nothing like up-to-date information. It has gone up in the past couple months I guess.

Yeah, I was impressed with the wiring kit / cable / harness /whatever-you-wanna-call-it. It was literally plug it in and be done. The simplest wiring job I've ever done. I was very impressed with the attached pins that use the existing little holes in the frame to snap the cable in place. Tucked out of the way and not touching anything. I likey!

Good to know. Hopefully the local shop carries that one.

panthermark I got the one from Q-tec because it was a bit shorter and I didn't want to ever hit my shins.

robdizzle I've got the one from quadratec. Works great. I frequently pull a 12' trailer either loaded with a riding lawn mower or a couple of quads. I leave my received in all the time just in case I get rear ended AGAIN!

Bad_Dog I have the JKU and bought the Quadratec Premium 2" Hitch.
Quadratec Premium 2" Receiver Hitch with Wiring Kit & Jeep® Logo Plug for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I installed it this past weekend. I was debating between it and the Rugged Ridge, and since they were the same price, opted for the Quadratec one since it also came with a rubber Jeep cover and the wiring kit. It doesn't stick out, maybe a couple of inches past the bumper.

Haven't really used it yet, but it looks nice.

laollis I have one that is brand new IN THE BOX and has the wiring harness too! $80.00 and you pick up or pay for shipping.

jkjeeper06 At the end of the day, they really are pretty much the same. The hidden hitch sticks out a little farther which can be nice for cargo baskets, but doesn't affect actual towing abilities at all. I think I have rugged ridge. I bought it cuz it was cheaper. So far its still good. The paint is still holding well so that's good
