Back spacing/offset

I need some help. I'm getting ready to buy some rims. I've got an 08 JKU w/a 2" spacer lift. The rims are gonna be 17x9. I wanna put NITTO trail grapplers 35's on there. The choice of offset is -12mm or +1mm. I want them to stick out.
