anotheridiot the main thing that goes wrong with straight 6 having intake and exhaust right next to eachother is warping the head. Take it off and a good draw filing to check for flatness should tell you if its warped enough to break the intake.

2xs Post a pic of the crack, normally they wont crack unless there is something in the way holding part of that cylinder up ad you torque it and POP!

NEED Help 1990 wrangler

Took my 1990 to smog Smog said it had a cracked intake manifold pulled manifold was broke # 2 intake bottom. Got a used intake and new exhaust
manifold. Install same. Think the intake cracked again same spot . Made sure that line-up dowel was in right I can see that it is in. Torqued to 20ft lbs. torque was done in circle from center outward to ends. Will start disassy in morn to confirm PLEASE HELP
