RufusT A quick update.. I found that my rear driveshaft ujoint was extremely worn. Replacement of this eliminated the screaching and "flickety" sounds that I was experiencing.

RufusPumble That is what I was thinking... I guess I am going to crawl under it and see if I can wiggle it at all...

Thanks for the reply.

Anyone else have any ideas?

help me figure this out?

Hey guys -

I was driving home from a camping trip this week and noticed a wierd "flickety-flickety" or "clickity-clickity" sound on deceleration. It seems to only occur when the the jeep is in gear. If I push the clutch pedal, the sound is not there on deceleration.

Any ideas of what this is? How do I diagnose this?

Rufus
