I'm not quite sure. I would think that anything under 50 degrees would slow down the curing. I'm keeping the TJ in the garage for 24 hours, where I maintain the temp at 65. I believe if there's debris at the bottom of the rails, you should probably let it sit longer. Or at the least, keep it off any wet roads for 2 days. There's no 'real data' to prove this stuff works, so it's unfortunately trial and error.

I'm gonna attempt LED's tonight. I went with red, even tho my natural instinct is blue. I envisioned a VW/Audi dash. Eh, if I don't like them, it costs me $9 to get blue.

41MB-00TJ Does any one know how to install a dimming switch for front fog lights. I have LED fog lights and a prewire D-box but I want to be able to SIMM them up or down. Please let me know if you have any input.

Mamefreak Walked out of my shop to actually get a look at the sun and saw a broken down TJ go by on a flatbed truck.... It made me sad... So I went back inside... And sadly that's all I did today

4ofus Cleaned up some surface rust on the drivers side frame rail. Going to do the passengers side tomorrow. Looks like I'll be performing a frame swap next spring....

Idk how a tj could ever survive up here in the NE.

Got everything disconnected in the back. Rear uppers, sway links, track bar and shocks.

Broke a couple upper shock bolts, not sure what to do now 😞

Any advise would be welcome.
You can take a dremel cut off wheel and cut one of the welds on the "nut" in the frame. If you have a compressor and an air hammer, you can pound it out with that. If not, use a hammer and a punch or something that fits.

It's not fun. I broke all four of mine about a month ago. buy plenty of cut off wheels. When you're done, just use some 1/4 20's with flat washers and lock nut. I had to "customize" a wrench so I could get a hold of the locknuts.

Speedo Gear swap

My new to me TJ was going faster than indicated according to my GPS. I read up on WF about cause and fix right here on WF. I ordered a new correct 31 tooth gear and fresh O-ring from Quadratec for $38 and had it the next day ground.

Found the ratio while searching for reasons for incorrect speedometer readings. Figure it had to do with 33" tires PO put on. Took about 12 minutes as I had to get up off the ground twice to get a pick tool to pull the oring off and a can of brake clean to clean up the little bit of fluid that came out when I pulled the stock gear out of the TC. Now the MPH is spot on. My fuel mileage will be accurate now and service interval will be correct. Don't hesitate to do this simple mod. 1/4 drive ratchet, 1/2" socket, brake clean, new o-ring, rubber gloves, pick tool to get o-ring off.

Jeffk1975 I rotated tires.

Took the rear shaft off the tail of the transfer case to check the torque on the yoke nut and while manipulating the front DC joint noticed that it has a bit of a notchy spot in it. Since its a relatively new shaft I'm going to call the shop I bought it from and see if they'll replace it. Since I think that's what's causing my 65mph vibration.
